GlenDronach Ode to the Dark is a single malt released within The Master's Anthology series. It was matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at 50.8% ABV, with a natural amber colour.
The character is rich and layered, built around chocolate, coffee, raisins, caramel and ganache.
The nose shows cherries and coffee beans coated in dark chocolate, caramelised brown sugar, custard, sherry-soaked sultanas and candied ginger. On the palate, dark stewed fruit, coffee and chocolate raisins mix with burnt custard, plums and dark cherries. The finish brings ginger peel, mocha, baking spices and chocolate truffle.
