A single malt from Glendronach, the Aberdeenshire distillery near Huntly, released as Ode to the Dark in The Master's Anthology. It matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry butts and was bottled in 2024 at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is intense and sherried, with a touch of rum and raisin alongside vanilla and almond. The palate is sweet and rich, with mixed berries, cherries, caramel and a little vanilla. The finish is very long and spicy, with raisins and dark chocolate.
