Ode to the Embers is a 12 year old Highland single malt from GlenDronach, part of The Master's Anthology. It is bottled at 48.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour.
The whisky looks back to the time when barley was dried over peat fires, and adds a light smokiness to the sherry character the distillery is known for. It combines dominant Oloroso oak with sweet Pedro Ximénez casks.
On the nose there are cinnamon, toffee, juicy apple, roasted walnut and flambéed orange, with a distant hint of smouldering campfire.
