GlenDronach – Ode to the Valley 12 Year Old Sherry & Port Casks (70cl, 46.2%)

Ode to the Valley is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from GlenDronach, part of The Master's Anthology. It combines whisky from the distillery's sherry casks with whisky from Ruby Port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley, a pairing put together by master blender Rachel Barrie. It is bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The sherry casks bring depth, spice and dark fruit, while the Ruby Port casks add berry fruit and extra sweetness. Ripe berries, sweet chocolate, juicy fruit and warm spices are the notes most often described.
