GlenDronach Peated is a Highland single malt from Scotland, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made with peated barley, which is unusual for a distillery that normally uses unpeated. The whisky was first matured in bourbon casks, then finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose has light campfire smoke, apricot jam, honeycomb and roasted nuts. On the palate are sweet malt, orange peel and smoked oak, with the peat present but gentle. The finish is long and warming, slightly ashy, with dried fruit and gentle spice.
