GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is a single malt that looks back to 1826, the year the distillery was founded. At that time it was usual in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of malting.
The whisky keeps the distillery's sherry style. It is a mix of whiskies from Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and port casks, all bottled at 48%.
The nose offers syrup, orange sweets, set honey, liquorice and smoky oak. On the palate come charred orange peel, maple syrup, clove-studded orange and stewed plum. The finish keeps smoked barley alongside juicy berries.
