This is a peated Highland single malt bottled at 48%. Master Blender Rachel Barrie created it using methods close to those of the distillery's founder, James Allardice, who dried malted barley over peat almost two hundred years ago.
It was matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and Port casks and has a golden colour.
The nose brings toffee, honey and smoke. The palate is spicy, with orange and cloves, and the smoke sits quietly alongside. The finish is long and lingering, with liquorice and dark fruits.
