Glenglassaugh – 12 Year Old (70cl, 45%)

This is a 12-year-old Glenglassaugh single malt from the Highlands, the age-stated core of the coastal range introduced in 2023. It is a distillery bottling at 45% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour. The whisky matured in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, which bring different influences to the distillery's rich, tropical fruit character. Floral and nutty notes sit alongside a salty, maritime edge. The nose brings ripe apricot and fig with toasted vanilla and tropical blossom, plus a warm sea breeze. On the palate, candied pistachio, date and sweet fig give way to Morello cherry and whipped cream. The finish has mild salted caramel and chocolate-coated nuts.
