Glenglassaugh – 12 Year Old (70cl, 45%)

This is the 12 year old from Glenglassaugh, the flagship of the distillery's refreshed brand and line-up. It is a single malt bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks. The distillery uses mineral-rich spring water, and sea air drifts through its warehouses. The nose has ripe apricot and fig with toasted vanilla and tropical flowers. The palate brings candied pistachio, date and fig, then morello cherry and whipped cream. The finish is soft salted caramel and chocolate-covered nuts with candied pistachio, ending on a note of Daim bars.
