Glengoyne 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%.
The distillery stands on the border of the Highlands and Lowlands and makes its spirit by slow distillation in pot stills from unpeated malted barley. The whisky matured for 12 years, mainly in European oak casks that held sherry, together with some American oak casks. Its colour is not artificially adjusted and comes from the wood alone.
The nose shows ripe apple and pear, honey, blond caramel and vanilla. The palate is round and silky, with toffee, toasted nuts and milk chocolate. The finish is medium to long and warming.
