Glengoyne – 30 Years Old (70cl)

Glengoyne 30 Years Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, released once a year in a run of 5200 bottles. It was matured for three decades in hand-selected sherry oak casks. Over those thirty years the malt master tastes the casks only two or three times, choosing just the best sherry oak for this bottling. Each decade has added deeper colour, stronger flavour and more complexity. The colour is deep amber. The nose offers black cherry cake, sherry, jam, tea rose, rum and raisin chocolate. The palate opens with a burst of sweetness that soon turns to stewed plum, cinnamon, clove and spiced jam.
