Glenkinchie 24 Years Old is an official distillery bottling from the Lowlands, released as the 2016 Special Release. It was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2016.
The whisky matured in refill European oak butts and was bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.2%, in an outturn of 5928 bottles.
The nose is soft, with baked apples, lime, pastry, flowers and walnuts. The palate is full and oily, with a spicy touch of ginger and oak alongside pineapple and banana. The finish is long and spicy, with a hint of chocolate.
