Glenlivet 18 Years Old (70cl, 40%)

Glenlivet 18 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky, in a 70cl bottle at 40% abv. It is matured in both American and European casks. The Glenlivet takes its name from the small valley of the River Livet, which runs into the Spey. The distillery was the first in the area to be licensed and is the only one entitled to call itself The Glenlivet. Bottles from the distillery itself carry the small line Distilled by George & J. G. Smith, a nod to its founders. The water has a touch of hardness and the malt is only lightly peated. Most of the casks have held sherry at some point, and the share of first-fill casks is fairly small.
