This is a Glenlivet single malt distilled in 1946, shortly after the Second World War, and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Label range. It was matured in first fill sherry casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring. The long maturation gave a deep golden colour. It comes in a wooden box with a viewing window and a signed certificate. The nose is sweet ripe fruit with floral, almost perfumed notes and soft vanilla. On the palate, fruity sweetness meets spicy herbs, dry oak and light roasted notes. The finish is long, with spicy depth and gently fading wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
