This is a 45-year-old single malt from Glenlivet, the distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray whose lantern-shaped stills were designed by its founder, George Smith. The whisky was laid down on 30 January 1976 and bottled on 15 November 2021 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection.
It matured in a refill sherry hogshead, cask 21602601, and was bottled at 43.1% ABV. The outturn was 266 bottles, each a 70cl bottle.
