Glenlossie – 12 Year Old Cadenhead's (70cl, 46%)

This is a 12 year old Glenlossie from Speyside, bottled by Cadenhead's at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was fully matured in bourbon hogsheads. Glenlossie is rarely seen as a single malt, and independent bottlers such as Cadenhead's, founded in 1842, give it a chance to be shown on its own. The nose brings lemongrass, herbs, sherbet and poached pears. On the palate come shortbread, gooseberries and caramelised brown sugar. The finish carries vanilla pods, icing sugar, crème brûlée and pistachio nuts.
