This is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from Glenlossie, distilled in 1982 and bottled at 60.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is a UK exclusive from Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection, and one of 125 bottles from a single refill American oak hogshead. The nose opens with rich orange zest, then green apple and a hint of grapefruit, with ripe autumnal fruits and aged leather. On the palate it is smooth and sweet, with apricot giving way to soft citrus zest, then subtle tropical fruit and mature oak. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering mixed nuts.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
