This is a 13 year old Glenmorangie single malt Scotch whisky, finished in Cognac casks and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose there is spiced apple, soft cedar and a little earthy forest floor, with touches of yellow plum and leather. The palate brings orange oils, butter biscuits and clove, along with flaked almonds on warm pastries and caramelised fruit.
The finish is long, with oak spice and a hint of red-berry sweetness.
