Glenmorangie The Nectar is a 16 year old Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46%. It follows the earlier Nectar d'Or.
The whisky spent its first 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, then a further two years in casks that previously held Sauternes and Monbazillac, both sweet white wines.
The nose is sweet, with peach, vanilla, spring honey, pineapple and milk chocolate. The palate is silky and fruity, with apricot, honey and candied orange alongside creamy, spicy notes. The finish combines fruity and spicy tones.
