Glenmorangie Aureum is a 21 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and presented in a box. It was matured in American oak bourbon casks and released in 2024 for travel retail. Dr Bill Lumsden developed it, using water from the Tarlogie Springs.
The whisky is chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings heather honey, pear, melon, lively lemon and jasmine. On the palate it is full and creamy, with vanilla, ripe peach, candied lemon peel, honeycomb and baked apple, while the oak gives structure. The finish is soft and lasting, with ginger, mild chilli, marzipan, milk chocolate and a light nuttiness.
