Glenmorangie Côte-d'Or Burgundy Casks Wood Finish is a Highland single malt. It was aged in American oak and then finished in Burgundy wine casks from France's Côte-d'Or region.
The nose opens with toffee and spicy pungency, settling into chocolate, crème brûlée and fruitcake. The palate is soft and silky, with sweet crème brûlée, poached fruit, citrus, butterscotch and light cappuccino creaminess over spicy oak. The finish moves from poached fruit and caramel sauce to a distinct maltiness.
