A Glenmorangie single malt made from the distillery's original recipe of 1903. It uses lightly peated barley and is matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose opens with caramelised orange and liqueur-soaked peaches, then sugared almonds, raisins, lime and a hint of distant woodsmoke. On the palate are mandarin, marmalade and cherry brandy, with nutmeg and ginger spice, followed by icing sugar, chewy meringue and violet. The finish is full and rounded, with aromatic smoke and chalky minerals over subtle, powdery floral notes.
