Glenmorangie LaSanta belongs to the distillery's Extra Matured range. The whisky spends ten years in American oak casks that held bourbon, then a further two years in hand-selected Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled at 43%, and the name means warmth and passion in Gaelic.
The nose has warm spices, chocolate-covered raisins, honey and caramel, with orange peel and nuts. The palate is velvety and complex, with sweet raisins, orange, hazelnuts, almonds, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is medium to long, sweet and fruity, with spiced orange and a soft touch of wood.
