Glenmorangie – Quinta Ruban Port Cask 14 Years Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a 14 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent its maturation in bourbon casks and then received a finish in ruby port casks. It is a light brown colour. The nose combines dark mint chocolate with mandarin and orange, followed by walnut and pepper. On the palate the mint chocolate returns, wrapped in a soft, velvety note of Turkish delight and sweet oranges. The finish is long and silky, with mint chocolate leaning towards a bitter dark chocolate note and a trace of orange.
