Glenmorangie – Signet (70cl, 43%)

Glenmorangie Signet is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It is built on a chocolate malt spirit that the distillery makes only once a year, run through its very tall stills. The source of the character is that dark, roasted malt, which brings a coffee-like intensity to the whisky. The nose combines coffee, ginger and cinnamon with dark chocolate, tiramisu, dark toffee, crystallised orange peel and rich fruit cake. On the palate there are crackling spices, bitter mocha, dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts and butterscotch. The finish carries mocha, cappuccino and amaretto, ending on chocolate-coated raisins and orange.
