Glenmorangie – Signet

Glenmorangie Signet is a single malt without an age statement, although it contains whiskies of up to 30 years old. Part of the spirit is distilled from chocolate malt, a deeply roasted barley normally used in brewing. It is matured in a mix of casks, including new oak and ex-bourbon casks, some chosen from Glenmorangie's own designer cask stock. The nose brings fresh espresso, bitter chocolate, orange peel, raisins and gingerbread, with cinnamon, roasted hazelnuts and marzipan. The palate is full and velvety, with toffee, candied orange, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate and soft spice. The finish is long and warming, with mocha, vanilla and gentle oak.
