Glenmorangie – Signet (46%)

Glenmorangie Signet is a single malt whose name and emblem come from the Pictish Cadboll Stone carving on Glenmorangie's land. It blends the distillery's oldest whiskies, from when malting was still done on site more than thirty years ago, with whiskies matured in casks selected from around the world. Part of it is made with 'high roast chocolate' barley from the Cadboll estate. It is not chill-filtered and is bottled at 46%. The colour is deep amber. The nose brings strong espresso, raisin pudding, sherry, orange peel, soft spices and caramel, then fresh mint, cocoa and dried fruit. The palate sets rich, fruity sweetness against spices and bitter mocha.
