Glenmorangie The Nectar D'Or is a 12 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. After its initial maturation it is given extra time in Sauternes wine casks.
The nose is citrus, light raisins and fresh grapes, with a delicate sweetness and hazelnuts. The palate is honeyed from the start, with citrus, toasted almonds and hazelnuts, and a subtle cereal and barley presence.
The finish is medium in length. Cereal notes come forward as the sweetness fades, followed by vanilla and lingering hazelnuts. The texture is silky.
