Glenmorangie – Triple Cask Reserve (70cl, 40%)

Glenmorangie Triple Cask Reserve is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three kinds of cask: ex-bourbon, new charred oak and rye casks. The mix keeps the typical fruit and sweet tones of Glenmorangie and adds the spicier notes of rye whiskey casks. The nose is usually described as tropical fruit, pear, vanilla, candied orange peel, honeycomb and grapefruit, with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. On the palate it is creamy, with crème brûlée, cherry, chocolate, fudge, sweet chilli, oak, marzipan and maple syrup. The finish is rich, sweet and spicy.
