This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from Glenrothes, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 30.125, in a 70cl bottle. Just 504 bottles were filled. After six years in a refill Oloroso butt, the whisky was moved into a first fill ex-bodega Oloroso butt for the rest of its maturation, so Oloroso wood shaped both stages. The nose brings cinder toffee, waxy honeycomb and fig rolls, with peach cobbler and Dundee cake once water is added. The palate is smooth and sweet, with lavender, honey, nutmeg and raisin, then sultanas and lavender popcorn with water.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
