Glenrothes – 12 Year Old (70cl)

Glenrothes 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the distillery at Rothes, in a 70cl bottle. A good amount of the distillery's spirit is aged in ex-sherry casks. The spirit comes from a medium-long fermentation and slow distillation in pot stills with reflux bulbs, which gives a malty character with cereal notes. Glenrothes released its whiskies by vintage until 2018, when it returned to age statements. On the palate it is described as having a hint of vanilla, nutty flavours, winter spice undertones and toasted oak.
