This is a 12 year old Glenrothes from Speyside, released as Darkness by Master of Malt under its Atom Brands label. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022 as a limited edition.
The whisky was finished in an Oloroso sherry octave, a small cask, and is bottled at 60.6% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The Glenrothes distillery was built in 1878 on the edge of Rothes.
