This is a 13 year old Speyside single malt from Glenrothes, the first of its Halloween Edition releases. It was distilled on 31st October 2004, filled into casks the following day and bottled in 2018 at 46.6%, with 2,202 bottles produced. The series ran for just one further edition, in 2019.
The whisky matured entirely in first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks. Notes of creamy vanilla, fresh melon and warming ginger sit alongside gentle oak spice and delicate fruit sweetness, and the finish is smooth and lingering.
