This is a 14-year-old Glenrothes from Speyside, bottled by Claxton's of the Dalswinton Estate for its Warehouse No. 1 series. The spirit was filled into a bourbon hogshead, cask C26146, on 30 November 2011. It is limited to 375 bottles and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring.
The nose brings creamy vanilla, honey and toffee, with ripe figs, orange peel, and a little cinnamon and oak. On the palate, sweet toffee and juicy apple meet lively orange and fine oak spice. The finish is long, led by honey and toffee, with white pepper and orange.
