A 15 year old single malt from Glenrothes, a distillery founded in 1878 in the town of Rothes, in the heart of Speyside. It is bottled at 43%.
The whisky matured in European casks seasoned with sherry, which give it a full body with a light, sweet spiciness.
The nose offers dark brown sugar, baked orchard fruit, hazelnut praline and toasted oak. On the palate there are caramelised pears, dark chocolate and baking spices such as cinnamon, clove and cardamom. The finish is rich, silky and gently spiced.
