Glenrothes – 16 Years Old Legends of the Picts: Volume I Oloroso Sherry Hogshead (61.2%)

The first volume in the Legends of the Picts series, which tells stories from the Pictish era. This single cask Glenrothes is 16 years old, and its theme is the Battle of Dun Nechtain. It was distilled on 1 July 2009, matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled on 29 July 2025 at a cask strength of 61.2%. The outturn is 275 bottles. The nose is balanced, with ripe banana and homemade flapjack. The palate is delicately sweet and tropical, and the finish gradually builds to a rich, rounded sticky toffee pudding.
