Glenrothes 18 Year Old is a single malt from the Wilson & Morgan Barrel Selection, bottled at 57.6% ABV. It was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016, with 613 bottles filled.
For the last four years of maturation the whisky rested in a fresh Oloroso sherry cask, adding intensity to the pairing of Glenrothes and sherry.
The nose is very winey and powerful, with dried raisins, juicy peaches and the sweet character of Oloroso. The palate opens sweet, then turns very dry and mineral. The finish brings pepper and citrus.
