Glenrothes – 1976 Single Cask #2677

This is a single cask Glenrothes single malt from 1976, bottled from cask number 2677. Glenrothes began producing whisky in 1879. Between 1963 and 1989 the distillery more than doubled its stills, from four to ten. The distillery remains owned by Edrington, while the Glenrothes single malt brand belongs to Berry Bros & Rudd, following a brand swap in 2010 in which the Cutty Sark blend moved to Edrington.
