A Glenrothes single malt distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2004 as a Restricted Release, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was approved in 2002, while the brand was under Berry Bros & Rudd, and is about 25 years old.
The nose is rich and full, with ripe red oranges. On the palate there is toasted brioche, caramelised nuts, malt, chocolate, strawberry jam and honey, turning a little dry after a moment. The finish is not long but candied, fading on light honey and vanilla sponge cake.
