This is a single cask Glenrothes from Speyside, distilled in November 2006 and matured for 15 years in a refill hogshead. North Star Spirits bottled it in September 2022 as part of its Cask Series 020, at cask strength, 52.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It yielded 251 bottles and has no chill-filtering or added colour.
The nose brings hot apple pie with cream and a hint of cinnamon. The palate has marzipan, black pepper and sweet fried pastry, and the finish recalls cannoli.
