Glenrothes – 2006 18 Years Dràm Mòr (55.2%)

This is a single cask Glenrothes single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2006 and aged for 18 years. It was matured in a first fill Oloroso hogshead and bottled by Dràm Mòr at 55.2%, with 330 bottles produced. The whisky is a deep, dark mahogany in colour. On the nose there are sun-dried fruits and warm Spanish oak. The palate brings sweet stewed dried fruit and nuts, chocolate, ginger and cinnamon, with a touch of old leather and alcohol-soaked prunes. The finish is long and warming.
