This is a 16 year old Glenrothes from the Infrequent Flyers series, distilled on 13 May 2009 and bottled in 2025 at 58.1% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle from an outturn of 306. The whisky spent its last six years in a Moscatel wine cask, which gives it a sweet, dessert-wine side. The colour is golden amber with a touch of copper. The nose is citrus-fresh with ripe peach, apricot and a little orange peel, over honey, vanilla and almond. The palate brings dried apricot, fig and raisins with gentle spice, and the finish is long and syrupy, with almond and cocoa.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
