Glenrothes – 2009-2025 16 Year Old Infrequent Flyers Single Cask 6344 (70cl, 58.1%)

This is a single cask Glenrothes, a 16-year-old Speyside single malt distilled in 2009 and released in 2025 by the Alistair Walker Whisky Company in its Infrequent Flyers range. It was finished in a hogshead that had previously held Moscatel, a sherry-like wine, and yielded 306 bottles at a natural cask strength of 58.1%. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle. Glenrothes is often filled into cask at full distillation strength rather than being reduced to 63.5% first, which may account for the high strength here.
