This Glenrothes was distilled in 1997 and matured for 23 years in a single sherry butt, cask 16557. Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers bottled it on 14th October 2020 as part of the Càrn Mòr Celebration of the Cask series, at a natural cask strength of 58% ABV. The outturn was 550 bottles.
The nose offers citrus fruits, sticky honeycomb and sweet oak. On the palate come silky chocolate, warming spice and rich sherried sweetness. The finish is of fragrant citrus peel and gentle spice.
