This is a Glenrothes 25 year old single malt from Speyside, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The 2024 edition was matured for a long period in American and European oak casks that previously held sherry.
The nose brings stewed apple, apple tart, dried fig, plum, cinnamon, clove, brown sugar, dark berries and dark honey. The palate is oily and fruity, with candied fruit, fruit tea, toffee, spice and a light woody sherry influence. The finish runs medium to long and warming, with ripe fruit, honey and spice.
