Glenrothes 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43%. A high proportion of it was matured in first-fill sherry oak casks, and it is bottled in its natural colour, an amber shade.
The distillery at Rothes was built in 1878, and its whisky is a main component of the Cutty Sark blend.
The nose is warm, with tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple, raisins, demerara sugar and malt. The palate brings coriander seed, salted caramel, creamy vanilla and citrus. The finish is sweet, with floral notes and citrus.
