This is a 33 year old Glenrothes from the Warehouse No. 1 series by Claxton's. It was distilled on 20 June 1988, matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled in summer 2021, with 207 bottles filled.
The nose is fine and sweet with gentle herbal notes, sweetcorn and vanilla, and freshly baked apple pie. On the palate it layers stewed fruit and pastry with sweet, spicy oak and warming vanilla spice. The finish is long, fruity and full, with sweet oak lingering.
