This Glenrothes was distilled in January 2013 and bottled by Douglas Laing in September 2022 at 9 years old. It is a single cask bottling from one refill puncheon, filled to 206 bottles at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour.
The nose is sweet buttercream, toffee-covered red apples and vanilla creme brulee. On the palate come crushed almonds, barbecued banana and malted barley, and the long, lingering finish brings stewed fruits, apricot and a burnt brioche note.
