Glenrothes – Maker's Cut (70cl, 48.8%)

Glenrothes Maker's Cut is a Speyside single malt matured entirely in first-fill sherry casks. It is bottled at 48.8% ABV in its natural colour, without an age statement. It is part of the Soleo Collection, introduced in 2018 to replace the Vintage and Reserve bottlings. The name is Spanish and points to the sherry influence, taken from the sun-drying of grapes before sherry is made. The nose is resin, candied orange peel and fresh oak. The palate is rich, spicy and creamy with vanilla and orange peel, and the finish is long and fruity with orange notes.
