Glenrothes 'The 15' is a 15 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry-seasoned European oak casks, entirely in the warehouses of Rothes, and is bottled at natural colour.
The distillery's fruity spirit meets bright spice and rich oak. Burnished gold in appearance, it has a soft, viscous feel.
The nose offers dark brown sugar, baked orchard fruit, hazelnut praline, candied orange peel, maple syrup, toasted oak and soft leather. On the palate come caramelised pears, dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, pecan pie, crystallised ginger and orange marmalade. The finish is rich, sweet and silky, with bright spices and gentle oak tannins.
